Bridge
As I come closer to the bridge
I feel weaker
With every step I take
I feel my blood cooking
My teeth crooking
As my fear turns into rage
Do I want to forget
what you have done to me?
So that all the pain
is transformed in nothing but
long lost history?
Then I feel my feet touching the bridge
and I feel my anger shrinking
Melting like snow in the sun
A sense of hapiness
coming over me
Misery and pain
Slide away
Not to be forgotten
in the past but to make me stronger in the future
So that I can move on
And take the first step
Over the bridge of buried memories
