[Klijntje]

Ik heb 'vroeger'(lees: een jaar of 3 geleden) heel erg veel gedichten geschreven, waarvan als ik ze nu terug lees, ik er maar weinig goed vind. Maar ik heb laatst ook weer wat nieuwe dingen geschreven, en daar ben ik redelijk tevreden over =) here they come:

So many words

There are so many words about this feeling
Already written down…
So many words about this feeling,
Almost enough to make you drown…

So what’s the use of writing
When you’re one out of so many?
Why try to find new words,
When you know you just won’t find any?

I won’t make another love song
But I will ask you this instead:

Whenever you hear a song
That just won’t leave your head,
That will keep you up all night,
When you’re lying in your bed

Try to figure out
If anything they say is true,
About this amazing feeling
That I share with you…

Soms…

Soms bespringt de twijfel me,
Als een meedogenloos beest…
Dan vraag ik me af of alles
Toch wel echt is geweest…

Soms geloof ik niet
Dat dit alles echt bestaat…
Dan denk ik dat ik droom,
Dat deze werkelijkheid vergaat…

De tijd die ik met je doorbreng,
Lijkt zo snel voorbij te gaan…
Terwijl hij daarvoor of na,
Soms haast stil lijkt te staan…

Soms denk ik
Dat jij er nooit bent geweest….
En dan bespringt het me weer,
Dat meedogenloze beest…

I don’t know if that is true,
If there’s a “Mr. Right”…
But nowadays I wonder,
It keeps me up at night…

Should he be your opposite,
Of should you be the same…
Do you have to agree,
Or use a different frame?

I don’t know if that is true,
If there is such a thing…
If there is endless love,
Or everything is just a fling…

But what I do know for sure,
Is that we are the same…
Whether that is common,
Or has a special name…
