Hero

Words are hollow.
Thoughts are nothing but leafs on the wind.
Deeds are just temporarily.
A victory is a bitter defeat.
Darkness is just light having a day off.
A promise is just a wasted whisper.
Honesty is nothing more then another grain of sand in the sea of doubt.
Friendship is a smokescreen.
Animosity just a blazing touch.
Heroes from today are yesterdays fools,
And they will fill the graves of tomorrow.
It’s the hero inside all of us that keeps us going,
Teaching us how to distinguish good friends from the bad,
Sweet girls from the mean ones,
Right from wrong.
Our inner heroes stand their ground against the dreadful events we live among.
They raise their blades of justice and hope, and you know what?
They almost won.
