Ain't

Ik heb voor engels een klein opdrachtje gekregen over wat ain't nou precies betekent, van welk werkwoord het afkomt etc. etc. Maar ik kan er niks over vinden en volgens mij is het ook geeneens een echt woord dat afgeleid is van een werkwoord, volgens mij gebruiken ze het in de muziek alleen maar voor isn't en haven't, maar weet iemand er meer over, of weet iemand het zeker?
