Je krijgt speciale operatie-kleding van het ziekenhuis aan. Je wordt verdoofd, de ingreep is heel kort en je bent vrij vlot weer wakker. De pijn nadien is per persoon verschillend. Meestal heb je nog wel even wat pijn, daarom moet je ook veel ijs eten (zeggen ze).
